I believe this assignment fits into Standard 2 of the Maine Common Core Standards. This standard focuses on understanding differences between your students and yourself, as well as between the students themselves. The main focus if for each student to reach their full educational potential. Science procedures are important for students to learn in order to apply them in other aspects of their life. Science can play a large role in day to day life. There are many procedures learned in the science classroom that can be useful for young students in their lives outside of school. Some of these procedures include problem solving, observations, and questioning. Although these procedures are commonly used inn the science classroom, they are also used to get through problems in life situations, and can be useful for students to learn at a young age.
