Standard 1 in the Maine Common Core Teaching Standard focuses on understanding how students learn / develop, recognizing that patterns of learning / development vary individually, and designing and implementing appropriate but challenging
learning experiences to students. Attached is a literacy assessment profile I completed with a first grade student. I believe this fits assignment fits into this standard in all ways listed.
This artifact made me think how individualized the subject of reading is. In doing this, I got a real perspective and experience with a developing reader. It really is different student by student, each with their own score on these sheets and own repertoire of words. In my attachment is my reflection/write up based on my experience, but I also linked all of the document scans from my experience.
